Unburdening customers is what we like to do at SCS Logistics.
In this project we were commissioned to deliver a complete scrubber set for assembly on board of a ship in Istanbul.
The parts were loaded at the supplier in Italy and then transported to our warehouse in the Netherlands. At the customer’s request, we took it into storage here for some time until it was ready to be delivered just in time.
For this project we used several type of trailers, tautliners, Mega tautliners and semi lowbeds for the oversized parts up to 3.4 meters high.
The shipment was then transported to Istanbul by road and roro ferry into Turkey to be assembled on board of a ship waiting in the port of Tuzla Istanbul.
A big thanks to our preferred supplier douanedocument.nl that took care of all the customs paperwork. In close contact with the ship’s agent in Turkey. As a result, customs clearance and other formalities went flawlessly.
